When is the best time of year to migrate to a new payroll system?

While it can be easier to start at the beginning of a quarter, there is actually no problem starting at any time. We will migrate your year-to-date payroll over to the new system.

Do you do ag payroll for vineyard workers?

If you have agricultural workers that need to be paid on Form 943, we use OnPay instead of Gusto. OnPay is our second-favorite cloud-based system. But it does handle agricultural payroll where Gusto does not.

What time tracking system do you recommend for wineries?

This is one area where we are a little platform-agnositc. We have successfully worked with clients using Gusto time tracking, QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets), HomeBase (a great free option), OrderPort time tracking, and old-school paper timesheets. If you are looking for a new system, we recommend you check out HomeBase’s free option.

Do you do tip calculations?

We can help you set up a system to calculate tips owed to your employees, including tip pooling arrangements. We can also reconcile your tip payouts to your POS to make sure everything is accounted for.
